Reflections on 2024 impact

Join Eversight President/CEO Diane Hollingsworth as she reflects on 2024, a year of unprecedented impact

A letter from Eversight President/CEO

In 2024, Eversight provided 14,927 tissues for transplantation, research, education and training around the world. Our reach extended to 34 countries, where we collaborated with physicians and researchers and supported the training of 918 clinicians. This level of impact is truly remarkable.

We remain committed to investing in the dedicated teams and partners who make our mission possible every day. This year, we hosted an all-staff meeting called Eversight Unite, a daylong event that connected employees in a meaningful way and celebrated every member of the Eversight team.

Eversight was named a national Nonprofit Top Workplace for the second year in a row and received nine Top Workplaces National Culture Excellence awards—further proof of our dedication to fostering an outstanding work environment.

Our dedication to community impact and fueling groundbreaking research remains steadfast. In 2024, we awarded seed research grants to help advance promising eye and vision research, shared inspirational stories of the legacy and impact of donation and transplantation, announced collaborations with industry leaders to advance ocular cell therapies and improve ophthalmic imaging, and joined more than 40 scientists, doctors and industry experts hand-picked from around the country to begin the work of making vision-restoring whole eye transplants a reality.

We launched Eversight Academy, a curated collection of education, training and professional development offerings, designed to enrich skill sets and elevate the careers of our ophthalmic surgeons and researchers. But our drive to support our community and their patients didn’t end there. In 2024, we also expanded our offerings to enhance corneal surgery and support advanced eye disease treatment.

Thanks to the generosity of individual contributors and grantorsincluding The Robert and Judith Sturgis Family Foundation, Julie and Peter Fleps, and The Myers Family Foundation, in honor of cornea recipient Shirley Myerswe raised over $1.2 million in support of our mission with more than $310,000 dedicated to expanding research and global development initiatives. We are deeply grateful for this generosity, which fuels life-changing advancements.

As we look ahead, Eversight will continue to enhance operational efficiency, pursue strategic growth opportunities, explore new avenues for diversification and strengthen our culture—all in alignment with our core values of service, drive and trust–in pursuit of making a larger impact among those we serve. But none of this is possible without you: our supporters, community partners, Lions Clubs, donors and their families, recipients, surgeons, researchers, volunteers and Eversight team members.

Thank you for making a difference,
