Rosie Pertz

A tribute from: Jerry Pertz, Donor Husband

She keeps giving

Rosie was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1988. After chemotherapy, Rosie continued her giving attitude, giving to the church, friends and family. She again was diagnosed in 2001 with metastatic breast cancer on the lung, and again went through chemotherapy, and again continued to be a giving person.

It was August of 2005 that she was diagnosed again with growing tumors on the lung. This time was the worst. Hospitalized 4 times in 5 months, she finally succumbed to the awful desease on January 5th, 2006. But this still does not stop her from helping others.

She donated her eyes, which were able to be used in spite of the awful desease in her body, and today someone can see thanks to her giving. My prayers are that we can all be as brave and caring as Rosie. God bless.
