“Imagine not being able to work, see the faces of your loved ones or appreciate a bright, sunny day."

Connecticut Foundation supports Eversight’s sight-saving work

Clark N.J., Nov. 30, 2020 — The Connecticut Eye Bank and Visual Research Foundation has awarded Eversight $25,000 to assist in the organization’s ongoing efforts to provide life-enhancing, sight-restoring surgeries throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pandemic has had a severe financial impact on Eversight and its ability to provide sight-restoring corneal transplants for patients in Connecticut. With financial support from the Connecticut Eye Bank and Visual Research Foundation, more people will emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic with the ability to see their families and the world around them.

“Imagine not being able to work, see the faces of your loved ones or appreciate a bright, sunny day,” said Teresa Clark, Eversight Vice President of Philanthropy. “For hundreds of people in Connecticut, this reality impacts every part of their lives.

“The corneal transplants that give hope to these people and their families are made possible with funding from organizations like the Connecticut Eye Bank and Visual Research Foundation.”

As a nonprofit, community-based eye bank network, Eversight is dedicated to serving the people of Connecticut and ensuring access to the gift of sight for everyone in need.
